The UN’s SDGs: Their Plan for Environmental Conservation

In 2015, the United Nations decided to release their Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs,) a “blueprint to achieve a better and more sustainable future for all.” One of the outcomes desired with the institution of the SDGs is to create a clean, better and more sustainable environment for future generations.

Today, World Nature Conservation Day, we want to discuss the parts of these goals that will create the desired affect of protecting our earth and fixing the damage already done. Goals 6, 7, 11, 12, 13, 14, and 15 have a positive impact on the environment, and while the overall message of each goal might not be to help the environment, many of the steps and the processes needed to achieve these goals will. We’ll go through each of these goals and explain why the steps of each goal have a positive impact on the environment.
